Personality: Nilima is a fairly even tempered young woman. She maintains a sort of
'zen', due to having suffered from migraines from childhood. She doesn't let much
get to her and tries not to stress over the small stuff. She engages in good karma
(deeds) and trusts in kismet (fate). She observes her own mix of Western Buddhist
and some Hindu beliefs, having grown up in a mixed household between her parents'
faiths. She tries to be honest, fair and kind/compassionate, doing the right thing.

She is introverted and quiet, preferring to keep company with one or two good friends
or working on her art hobby, coding something new or betatesting than going out and
'partying'. Her migraines leave her sensative to sound and light, so she prefers more
quiet activities.

History: Her family has always been supportive of her education and encouraged her
to pursue her interests. She was expected to get good marks. Her older brother has
struggled with his own issues and is envious of her successes, whilst he still wades
through his own undergraduate degree, having changed majors more than once. She is
the brighter of the two, intellectually, and has both her undergrad and grad degrees
at a young age.

Her parents are quite proud that she has found a good job with a good company in or
near Silicon Valley. The company's excellent health benefits were also instrumental
in helping treat her chronic migraines, which she'd suffered from since childhood.
She's succeeded despite those odds. And to be chosen to work at an elite research
group like Project: PEGASUS? That's something.

She is a mix of British/English and South Asian (Indian) and grew up in the UK. So,
she speaks English and some her Indian parent's native languages conversationally,
but not fluently enough to be fully bilingual, though she can read enough to get
around, read short newspaper articles and online, too. Good 'tourist' usage--but
no way a native. IF she applies herself to further studies, she can become fully
fluent/literate in them. It's something she hopes to do, now that she's closer to
a large Indian expat community in the Bay Area.

She misses her parents, but hopes to make new friends at her new job and get to
have a bit more of a social life now that she's having some success with getting
her migraine treatment plan in place. But there have been some..interesting..new
side effects she'd not been quite certain about, nor whom to discuss them with.

But her employers have offered her help with those..interesting..side effects and
new talents. Her mentor, Carson West, one of the AIM experts with Project Pegasus
has been working to help her understand that the side effects aren't that, but rather
something altogether difference. She's telepathic, rather like Mrs. Troi, in Star
Trek. Who'd have thought there might be a connection between her migraines..and
being psychic? And having -blue- hair...
