Background:

Personality: Liz was possibly the most glamorous agent around, her beauty disguises a stern personality and extensive training, though. There are many who have made the mistake of assuming that her unusual beauty for "softness". There is nothing "soft" about Liz. She has a ruthlessness equal to Wolverine's or Magneto's. She has very little patience for stupidity or incompetence and prefers to maintain a certain mystique.

She is an extremely private person and very intelligent. She is a very
"together" agent who could be said to have ice water in her veins. She is the "cool head" that prevails with strategy, reason and logic in and out of combat. Oft plain spoken and occasionally blunt, she does not always take people's feelings into consideration though she rarely wavers from the social graces, yet she also has difficulty dealing with her own emotions. She doesn't share her feelings or motivations easily, as she doesn't feel that it's anyone else's' business.

The "mutant vs human" debate doesn't particularly sway her, though she and Dr. Eric Lensherr do not see eye to eye, he and her father respected each other's purely academic opinions and scholarly expertise in the past, she sees no reason to pick any fights with the man she remembers as a respectable scholarly guest at Braddock Manor during her childhood.

History: What IF Tessa had not been able to dissuade Elisabeth from taking up her dad's position as Black Bishop of the London Hellfire Club on behalf of STRIKE? Liz persevered and matured into a ruthless, resourceful spy and highly skilled psi-talent. She's easily as powerful as Emma, if not more so. She never became Captain Britain, nor was she ever blinded or involved with the X-men.

She advanced from the European Black Bishop to Black Queen over the years, and eventually became Lady Imperial—along the way, gaining Tessa (another deep cover agent) as her adviser early on. She is also a mentor/friend to Emma Frost, after "winning" the young telepath from Elias Bogan and Sebastian Shaw during a visit to New York.
